VOLKSWAGEN SHOWROOM THESSALONIKI

We were commissioned to redesign an existing car showroom within the dense fabric of Thessaloniki, aligning the new space with the global identity of Volkswagen while addressing the unique spatial and urban parameters of its location.

The project required a complete rethinking of both façade and interior. On the exterior, we aimed for a strong, clean presence that communicates precision and clarity — values central to the brand. A bold, monolithic white entrance frames the main access, while the continuous glazed façade opens up the interior to the city, inviting views and transparency.

Internally, the space was articulated into clear zones for vehicle display, consultation, delivery, and service. We worked with a palette of raw materials — concrete textures, dark metal, natural wood — contrasting them with sharp lighting geometries that guide both circulation and experience. The spatial rhythm is balanced: monumental where needed, calm where appropriate.

A key challenge was to integrate the brand’s digital elements and customer experience protocols into a coherent architectural gesture. Lighting, signage, and digital content were embedded seamlessly into the architectural framework, without disrupting the atmosphere.

This project is less about novelty and more about precision. It’s an urban intervention that respects its context, serves its function, and reflects the identity of a global automotive brand with architectural consistency.
